What I learned

A logarithm is a quantity representing the power to which a fixed number (the base) must be raised to produce a given number.

We learned in class how to use a logarithm and what to do when we see one. A logarithm is much easier than it sounds, it is basically just the rewording of an exponent.

An exponent is the increase of power to a number. It multiplies a number by, itself the amount of times of the exponent.

We then were introduced to a negative exponent. The negative exponent makes the number become a fraction.

The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics.

We have learned these things so far in class and hope to be introduced to new topics as well.
